The Construction Safety Advisory Committee of New York (CSACNY) has written a letter to Mayor Bill de Blasio regarding construction’s role amid the COVID-19 outbreak.

Façade Inspection and Safety Program: Cycle 9 Amnesty
Program for Non-Compliant Owners – Cycle 8 Owners Only

For a limited time only and in the interest of public safety, the Department of Buildings is offering an Amnesty Program to owners who failed to file (No Report Filed or NRF) a Façade Report during Cycle 8. The Façade Inspection and Safety Program (FISP) Cycle 8 reporting period ended February 20, 2020, and this amnesty period will allow owners to administratively close Cycle 8 with the Cycle 9 Report and can be found here.

COVID-19 Response: Appointments for Standard Plan Review BIS Job Filings

As part of the citywide response to the Coronavirus, Department of Buildings (DOB) customers are being urged to immediately limit the amount of walk-in traffic to DOB offices. Effective Tuesday, March 24, 2020, there will be no in-person plan examination appointments for standard plan review BIS job filings and all plan sets and documents must be uploaded in eFiling and can be found here.
